-As An Author-
I wrote square Peg to continue to shed light on the importance of social-emotional learning, focusing on anti bullying, I also took my deep commitment to teaching reading comprehension and added that into the middle grade novel. In the back of the book there is reading comprehension information, questions for each chapter broken down by question type, reflection opportunities and discussion questions. Best of all, there is space for students to write so all their thoughts are in the book. I hope this book will be a successful tool for the classrooms, as well as for parents at home supporting reading comprehension.

Cheryl explained the meanings and asked me clarifying questions. This helped my son get what was best for him in his IEP. It made a difference. To think, he’s off to college next year.
